This is the visual documentation of my exploration of Historic Cairo.

I set out to explore the Historic part of Cairo on my own, but I met people along the way who shared their stories. I walked without a map only to find beautiful architecture around every corner. I documented a lot of it, but it’s only a fraction of what’s there. I created a photo book, a visual essay, documenting the doorways and mihrabs of this part of Cairo.
